THE CHALLENGE

Our client, one of Australia’s largest financial services companies, has experienced significant growth in clients, staff and offices over the last ten years. The client currently uses multiple external systems and manual processes to manage the lead to post settlement supply chain of financial services. To assist and support this continued growth, our client embarked on designing a bespoke integrated CRM, Data Warehouse and reporting solution. 

The challenge our client was facing was ensuring that the solution would scale to meet future demand, support operational performance improvement requirements around automation and staff attraction/retention, uplift Net Promoter Score (NPS) and increase market share.

THE APPROACH

Partnering with our client’s third party System Integrators, UnicornX provided strategic and advisory services to our client, facilitating architectural and solution designs, data governance, automation, customer and user experience best practices.

A Proof of Concept (PoC) was developed using Microsoft D365 to prove the data model design and scalability, and API integration with third party brokers, credit rating agencies and lending providers. 

Following on from the PoC, a multi-phase transformation programme was initiated to build a full Microsoft D365 based solution including an integrated telephony gateway, MS Office 365 product suite integration, customer and partner portals, Snowflake Datalake and Broker X-Gate integration. Lending application, lodgement and fulfillment processes were automated using MS PowerApps, Power Automate and integrated with Power BI for advanced analytics, reporting and future Data Sciences use cases.

THE SOLUTION

The solution included the following;

  • Deep dive architecture, solution design and data model reviews and best practice guidance
  • Data modelling and data management best practice guidance
  • Integration and automation best practice guidance
  • Lean Six Sigma process design best practice guidance
  • Assisting third party vendor with data migration design and execution
  • Ongoing Strategy & Advisory during the design and build phase

THE OUTCOME

The PoC provided our client with confidence to proceed with the wider transformation programme. UnicornX is continuing to provide strategic and design advisory throughout the project lifecycle to enable a successful delivery and ensure ROI objectives are met through best practice design and delivery governance.
